Taylor Swift’s single “Anti-Hero” spent a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her second-longest reign atop the chart, surpassing her 2014 hit “Shake It Off.”
The longest-running single at No. 1 from Swift is 2014’s “Blank Space,” which spent seven weeks at the top of the chart.
Swift’s other No. 1 hits include: “We Are Never Getting Back Together” (three weeks); “Bad Blood” featuring Kendrick Lamar (one week); “Look What You Made Me Do” (one week); “Willow” (one week); “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” (one week); and “Cardigan” (one week).
With five weeks at No. 1, “Anti-Hero” tied Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” and the cast of Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” as the second-longest-running No. 1 song of 2022, behind Harry Styles’ “As It Was” (15 weeks).
For the tracking week ending November 24, holiday songs took over a majority of the Top 10. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” reached No. 5 on the chart, followed by Christmas classics “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas.” Michael Bublé’s album Christmas earned the No. 10 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Though it was released in October, Swift’s Midnights is the third-longest-running No. 1 album of the year, with four weeks at the top of the chart. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti had 13 weeks at No. 1, and the soundtrack to the movie Encanto had 9. There are only five full tracking weeks left of 2022, so it’s possible that Midnights could rise in rankings.
